Hello internet! Hello world! Hello fashionable humans!

I had abandoned this blog, completely, utterly, and unforgivably. In all truth, I feel terrible...this little blog had been my creative outlet and an excuse to prioritize fashion in my life, but then unfortunetely life happened. It has almost been three years...three long years of high school...freshman year I fell in love, sophomore year I experienced drama, and this year I've worked my ass off to try and attempt to get into college this fall. However, now it is gloriously SUMMER...three whole months I have to blissfully do nothing. And I thought of nothing better I would like to spend my "nothing" doing than updating this blog...I'm going to make it bigger, better, and chicer than it ever has been...Summer is long, hot, and requires shorts, skirts, dresses, and to my dismay, rompers. Hopefully, if anyone is still reading, I'll be here to chronicle my summer which will be chockful of fashion, popsicles, and a lot of reading of fashion magazines and cheesy teen novels...maybe I will begrudingly write a college essay, but I doubt it. Summer here I come! Its good to be back...

Hello little darlings...I know I promised a post like a week ago, but I didnt have time to and I didnt even have time to mention this perfect little delightful fact, that I went to NYC...I know right, how could it have slipped my mind? Geez I was so excited...I mean, the big apple...the city that never sleeps...ok yes I've been there like 40 times....but I LOVE it soooo much every single time I visit...everything about it is so chic...so sophisiticated....from the gorgeous people walking around to the changing fall leaves falling on my o-so-adorable slouchy boots while I leisurly stroll through Central Park looking EXTREMLY chic i might add ;)....even the GIANT not even kidding this burger was so enormous I cannot even describe how huge it was....I mean this thing was like 4 inches high...anyways even the burger was perfect...

its such a change for a little california girl like moi....but it was soooo hot there...geez...i was all geared up to wear all my adorable little sweaters and scarves and my adorable houdstooth bomber jacket i bought for just the occasion...but of course thanks to my luck it was about a million degrees i could barely even sleep...

even so i had a blast...i was there for my grandma's 85th woot woot!! thats old man...but she's so peppy like running around NYC...so I'm back...my BFF Nikon Cybershot had a fun time too :)))) enjoy...

The MET...omg i am so cool and edgy b/c i went by myself without my dad...i used my student ID to get a discount and the whole time i was walking around being like "i am so cool and edgy" in my head....

Omg i had lunch w/ my grandparents and when we walk out of the restaurant theres this HUGE billboard on Lexington for the Levi Store and this guy is the hottest thing EVER...i couldnt stop looking...

Dear Little Fellow Bloggeratiis...im so sorry i havent posted in...um...FOREVER...seriously its so annoying that I haven't even had a chance to check my favorite blogs, or update mine...i havent even been able to visit www.style.com to check out the Paris, London, Milan Fashion Weeks...is not ok...why is there school EVERY SINGLE DAY??!?! i swear...i go to school for like 10 hours...no exaggeration...and I miss my little blog...its my favorite...:)))) So either tomorow or sometime this week look for an update...I've been tracking my uber cute school outfits...so that might be on the agenda...who knows...me.... OMG that totally reminds me of Gossip Girl...who is obsessed? I am...ok honestly the best show ever...and i am so jealous of how amazingly gorgeous Serena and Blair are...and Dan and Nate=HOT HOT HOT...no lie....i want to post about that too....whaaa not enough time...:(***

Wow...does it ever feel like time is flying by...or depending on how you look @ it...not? Ok I realize yes, that sentence made almost no sense, but let me explain my little lovelys. School has going by at the speed a crippled snail might go through school. Like a turtle with a cane going to Freshman year...like me...being extremely over school...but then again, I checked the date on my last post and it was like 2 weeks ago?!! How did that happen...im neglecting my poor little blog that I love so dearly...

But it feels like i have no time for anything else except school, homework, sports, and um...lets see once thats done, theres more school....i get home @ like 6:30 every night b/c thats when my sports practice ends, is that insane or am i?

Hey guys, sorry I drifted off the radar for a while...i got back from camp and everything just got so busy all of a sudden, and I havent had ANY time to post, which actually makes me quite pissed and sad b/c I love my little blog and all my readers <3....There will hopefully be a new post up tomorow....till then :)
Oh wait...since i have been neglecting my blog, here's a little mini tidbit for you little fashionistas to chew on...
One of my favorite fall shows....Stella McCartney...I want this for fall...the whole thing...and thats why they call it a daydream...*breaks down to tears*...

I actually really like how the extra long slouchy cardigan is under a extremely power women chic coat...its such a good juxtaposition...and i sound like a huge nerd...i like the contrast

Ok this sweater is honestly my life...i want to marry it and make little polar bear babies with it...im not even kidding...yes i am ;P

This is one of my favorite looks...i saw it in InStlye and I'm obsessed...the grey sweater is PERFECT w/ just the white shirt, and it could be boring but BAM...amazing amazing red shoes!!! I love it...

This outfit is casual, but then again BAM amazing hot pink shoes...I swear Stella McCartney is a genius....

but one other thing...Daria Werbowy looks completley WAY TOO SKINNY in this picture...i mean check out her collar bones...i dont really know where i stand in the too skinny model thing.... i mean I understand if they're natrually skinny like that, b/c some girls are, but still we shouldnt all be expected to be a size 00 either...but she just looks unhealthy...thats definitely not sexy...

This dress just makes me happy...its like limey colored but then faded times 10 squared...the black shoes are a perfect chic touch...and yes Jessica Stam...girl crush...she's so pretty with her spooky icey blue eyes and I just love her as a model...and even though she's skinny too, she just looks healthier...or at least i think...

Wow....mostly I feel like a complete idiot....haha this actually is sort of sad....so I go to camp for 2 weeks, and I completely forgot to warn you guys. Acutally you must give me some credit, I didn't really "forget" forget....I actually almost didn't go, and then by the time I did, I had like literally 2 seconds to pack, and then when we were driving I remebered I hadn't warned you guys....my blog will be blogger empty for 2 whole weeks...I even tried unsuccesfully to get internet connection from my laptop in Nowhereville.....

Anyways...I'm BACK!!! Yay....mostly camped rocked my socks...i can't believe i honestly just said that in a sentence....whatever, I can say whatever I want to...so camp was extremely fun, and funny too....I loved my cabin, and suprisingly, I didn't really have very much technology withdrawal, although I did feel VERY guilty leaving my little bloggers all alone....;)

Did you know that Longs has a motto? I betcha didnt...dont lie...its motto is:

"Live Healthy. Live Happy. Live Longs"

Hahahahahahahahahahah, do you get it?! Live Longs...ahahah i am so amused...I developed my camp pictures there and I was very intrigued reading the motto on the photo thing....

Anywyas...I was trying to put up some pics from camp but my computer is being retarted...so hopefully it will work tomorow...oh wait, hold on...i can get some off the camp site...YAY...

We went canyoneering, which was repelling backwards down that waterfall behind us...basically it was amazing...i totally felt like and INTENSE rock climber ;)))

For cabin theme day were were the rainbow...it was my idea...and what color do I get to be...GREY...whooppeee...shows what being a genius gets you...NOTHING!!!

Sooooo....who can believe that schools starting again....When I say "school" I say it in a scary Voldemort voice....I have literally 2 weeks, which I know is actually a long while, but it is going to be filled with Tennis practices and school shopping (i.e. the binder kind)....and I'm literally squeal when I say this.... BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING!!!!

Today I got to do some with my lovely mother...she hates it when I call her that ;)....we hit Anthropologie

1st, and I have to say that I have found a pair of pants that I am literally in LOVE with....now don't kill me when I say this...but I have a newfound Gaucho jeans obsession....I can't help it...:)) and yes...if you feel you want to mock me, thats ok...I can take it...

I guess I've been wearing skinnies for so long, that having the wide leg is just so...EXCITING....i believe im getting way too worked up over this, but you try going to camp for 2 weeks w/ limited clothing, and NO full length mirror, huh? huh? try and get back to me ;)....\

And the Anthro site isn't letting me save the pic, but I was inspired to buy them b/c of this pic I saw of Cameron Diaz wearing a pair...

And we sort of have the same body type(hahha I like to dream i guess, since i do not really look like a moviestar ;) , and I thought they were so casually cute, that I had to race out and find a pair....seriously they are the comfiest thing ever....

Anyways....back to the back to school shopping....I hope i have a chance to do somemore, b/c I am seriously in a need for wintery clothes....although i do not deny that it doesnt really get wintery in CA, the temp drops to less then 65....crisis...

Although it is CA, a girl is in need of a few cooler weather peices....so I was in Malibu w/ my mom and I stopped @ Planet Blue, and I tried on honestly the most ADORABLE sweater dresses I have ever seen in my 14 years....they were so cute, but of course they were all like 300$, obviously my mom didnt let me buy them, so I was slightly depressed all day...

I know it doesnt even look that cute, but it is....it is all crocheted and possibly the comfiest thing ever....by Catherine Malandrino who I believe is a genius...

This dress by Joie is a ten billion times cuter on, but I LOVE it....I tried it on in all grey and my mind was just spinning like a little hamster on one of those wheels about all the ways I could wear it....

I didnt actually try this dress on or have seen it in real life, but the little buttons are so cute...are you noticing how im leaning towards grey...its big this fall, but I've always LOVED it....

This dress is really cute, but mostly i just chose it b/c I want to ask, what in gods name is the model doing? Does she think shes being alluring or sexy b/c mostly it just looks like shes having ADD as she stares @ the photographer with NO feeling in her eyes whatsoerver... shes prob thinking "Wow...I really want that peice of candy....I've been thinking about it all day."Geeeeezzz...what are they teaching in modeling school these days?

Yes, I am sure you are pondering...."Why is there a picture of a stoplight?" I would be too....in fact i would be downright confused....maybe its because....drum rollll.... I got a NEW digital camera!! Yay...I'm so happy :)))) as you can tell by the plethora of smilys to your left....so as I was driving around downtown I was taking all sorts of edgy and artsy photos, hense the completely and totally edgy stop light.... WHOA...do you think you can handle the edginess....I'm pretty sure I can't....I may pass out....

Anyways, I was having a little bit of bloggers block....and then I was like..."hmmm...inspiration strikes anywhere..." and I was thinking about how i've been obsessively watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and I have to say that Buffy is amazingly stylish....for the 90's of course...but I found myself being very jealous of her, plus she completely kicks ASS...which makes me happy too :)... Mostly I just love this picture b/c she's wearing this really gorgeous dark orange A-line dress that you can't see from the photo, and she's carrying this frickin huge ass rifle....I LOVE it....lol

What you ask, has me in such a frenzy? Although it does not take much....I am known to stand waiting at my door for the little mail delivery person from Amazon to deliver my package...i swear it take so damn long....but you know theres that handy little "Track your package" button on Amazon.com that lets you know exactly where it is....not that i've ever pressed it...pshhh...no freakin way.......

Anyways....i have realized that PLAID....yes I feel as if I should write the word PLAID in CAPITAL letters to signify its importance....i am sorry if that pains you...but in the name of eccentricity...it must be done ;))

So back to the PLAID....it is actually literally back...i was reading Bazzaar(which btw who the hell knows how to spell it...not me that for sure) with Jessica Simpson on the cover who btw looks like a man....there was something about the photo shoot i just thought she looked....manly....maybe its the brown hair...anyways whatever it was it was just bugging me...i was like "can you please get a cover girl that actually resembles a women"...
and don't get me wrong, I don't actually have anything against Jessica Simpson...she used to be cute, but lately she's just been piling on the makeup....its not a good look for someone w/ her face...

Sorry for me being MIA...I was locked in my room for a few days totally engrossed in Harry Potter 7.....It was SO AMAZING....read it if you havent...by the end i was like crying.....but it was amazing...

I honestly think that I have an addiction to Prada Ad campaigns....I flip through magazines waiting till I get to that fateful page when...BOOM! Hello all....I was just inspired to post right now even though it is nearly midnight, and i am going to have to wake up @ the un-godly hour of 7:45 to get up for Pilates, which is alright b/c that is how I will have a nice Pilates body....plus my teacher is basically the shizz....she's really nice....anyways, not more blogging about Pilates, although I am tempted to...and you know what , I will rant for a little while....Pilates is really good for you, I discovered it w/ my mom, and if you're into like not lifting iron, I mean pumping...haha....its very low impact but VERY strength building, and you get to do all sorts of gymnasticy things....I love it....and it makes your posture perfect, which makes me love it even more....

So onto what i actually meant to blog about....tonight I went to see Snow Patrol which was very excited, since they're one of my favorite bands, so seeing them live was amazing b/c I actually knew some of the lyrics....imagine that ha!

They played all of my favorite songs, "Chasing Cars" (of course), "Run", "Open Your Eyes", "Chocolate", "Make This Go on Forever" I dont know if there are any fans, but if you guys love them, try and see them in concert.....all of their lyrics are so romantic....omg i almost died when they spoke with their HOT Scottish accents, a la Sean Connery a.k.a. my extreme crush....so what if hes old? Hes still hot...

Anyways, I am pretty tired but I have been dilligently searching like a good fashion addict for a pair of flat suede boots for fall....perferably "slouchy" if you get my jist...I found this really adorable pair on Zappos but then it said that they are sized REALLY small, and I already have a hard enough time trying to find shoes that fit my obnoxious giant size 11 feet...i hate it....but I am dying to get a pair of boots, I need them....they are going to be my key peice this fall....I NEED THEM....not that im getting frustrated at my stupid feet or anything....stupid genes.....

These are the Zappos ones...arent they really cute? I think so, and the heels not big, because I'm already 5'11 and I don't need to be even taller then the boys then I already am....

They're made by a company called Fitzwell Artisan...somehow I think thats funny....$100.00...babysitting is going to pay off....;)

And then I found this pair on Urban Outfitters....they're really cute too...nice and simple...easy to tuck jeans into and pair with my chic outfits...haha...and I'm debating which pair to get.....these come in like hot pink and yellow too, but I'm sticking with the classics....how boring of me....

They are so gorgeous....the colors and the cut and the gold lining and just everything....og i want them so badly to wear with my jeans....they also come in a black/grey/purple version which is also so pretty...too bad they dont even come in my size....FANTASY ENDED....

And then this...this isn't even for the clothes....its for the models malnurished-bony-skeleton-looking-back....I mean come on.....Thats just annoying... its not like we're @ Prada's Fall 2007 Runway show where all of the Eastern European beauties "natrually" look like that....this is frickin Urban Outfitters...I don't need a model whose back bones could literally be wings....and I'm not trying to be annoying here, but can we feed this girl....I just want to see a frickin model that looks like a girl...not a skeleton...there are kids in Africa who are starving, and we have models here looking like that volentarily....everyone says that, but comeone someone shove a cupcake in that girls mouth....

Now....I'm done being a complainer....I'm going to camp soon, and I'm trying to brainstorm what to where while trecking around the forest @ 8,000 feet.....

This seems pretty early to be thinking about things like this, but I am actually UBER excited for back-to-school shopping...and no, not the kind where I spend hours at Staples slaving over which size binder is better for my 3rd period ancient civilizations class...i mean the kind where my mom takes me to buy.....ahhh let me just soak it in a little....new clothes...what a beautiful 2 sylables....the main reason in this, is because this summer had pretty much been the summer of my....drum roll please...transformation!...and its not even over yet...;P I know its great right?

My hair is actually growing....sounds like a weird thing to be excited about, but my friends constantly make fun of me b/c in all of 8th grade it seemed like it grew 1 inch(btw thats not true, i just trimmed it so it seemed like it wasnt growing)....its shoulder length and really blonde from being outside...CA cliche...but I cannot wait till its longer and im going to get a really edgy hipster cut....i am the coolest person i know haha yeah right...

I GOT MY BRACES OFF....its pretty self explanitory....:)))))))

And so far I've been eating really healthy and working out and i've lost 10lbs, so that means that back to school shopping is going to be extra fun....ahh exercise is a beautiful thing my friends...

I feel like a bad "self image" magazine, but....

Mmmm....that below is literally my weakness...i could eat a whole pint of Hagies Chocolate in one episode of Greys Anatomy...not a good sign....

1. Go on a bikeride....it honestly is very fun...bring some friends...or some adorable boys, a helmet, and a picnic...yum...

2. Go running on the beach....if you dont have a beach, move...no jk...but hit the pavement in brand new chic running sneakers and run until you cant breath...soothing... go to http://www.nike.com/ and customize some shoes so you can be the best dressed jogger there...

\3. Go for a hike...we all have to be living near some mountains...right? you will be dead on the way up...but the view at the top is worth it....that way you will feel like you accomplished something...

This is possibly the MOST unnattractive picture of my friends and I, but at least the view is gorgeous...i got up at 7 to climb the mountain like a frickin goat...im on the far right in the cool very-stylish-bought-in-the-boys-department-@-Target-Superman-shirt... this is to show that i actually hike...ha...

4. Take a swim....do some laps....one form of exercise where you DONT SWEAT...3 cheers..

5. Take up surfing so you can convincing fist bump, and say things like sick, rad, and dude that was off the hook....another plus, you can hit the lineup with all the adorable surfer boys...ahhh....

Now that I'm done my health lecture for the post, i have concluded that i found a new fashionista that i sort of...um....am in love with....yeah make fun....

I never really noticed her all that much, I mean I knew she was in M:III w/ Tom Cruise, but I just thought of her as another actress...then I was ready People Style Watch, and I saw this picture, below...and it really caught my eye...i mean its not that like flashy or eclectic as a lot of the other stars we see dressing, but I loved the classic-ness of the look....the blue buttom down, tucked in and rolled up, the classic blue skinnies, the black leather bag, and then the low brown wedge heels...even her hair looks low maitnence chic...and there it was...i was like...i WANT to pull off that look...seriously

I love lists....what can I say, they're fun....they entertain me...so I decided to list some of my favorite things about summer...after all it is one of the best times of the year...COMPLETELY school, obligations,and homework free....no stupid history papers to write....no geomatry problems to solve out....more time to devote putting my outfits together...the most important thing after all :)

MY FAVORITES OF SUMMER

1. Entire days spent dedicated to Harry Potter....sounds like the dorkiest thing imaginable, but insult Harry...insult me...grrr...I honestly love the series, I just reread the 5th and 6th books to get ready for the new movie and book....and i was like "WOW! they are really good"...so i spent a few sun drenched days outside with my nose immersed in the world of wands and wizards...it was the most fun i've had all summer...haha

2. Perfectly perfect summer sales...I got a shirt @ urban outfitters yesterday for 5$...it was the highlight of the week i must say...

3. Deliciously adorable boys....this one may need a sub-catagory...

A) The surfer boy...possibly the best breed of the species...defining characteristics: perfect golden brown tan, long lean muscles from days and days of ripping or shredding or whatever, shaggy shaggy brown or blonde hair(or brown w/ natrual blonde highlights from the salt water), board in hand, says things like "dude" "sick" "rad" "bottom turn" "cut back"...

B) The working boy...hottie hottie hot....defining characteristics: ambitious, will pay for things b/c he has the extra cash from "working", extremely cute lingering smiles ahhh, hot eyes they all have them i dont know why, may have a nametag...even better to meet him by...;)

C) Random boy....love them....characteristics: you never see them again, like to lurk in public places where you can lurk right back at them, will make insane eye contact, usually shy-ish, nice smiles that make them hot...

D) Nerdy cool boy....subtle hotness, glasses which i find amazing, sweater vests, skinny jeans when its like 80 out, great eyes magnitized by glasses, most likely skinnier then me...haha

4. Saturdays spent watching movies...it doesnt sound summery, but when would i have time to do that during.................school....ugh

5. S'more hybrids, i'm saying cookie/marshamellow/cookie dough...makes you mouth water huh? My friend and i saw it in a book and we drooled over it for like 40 hours...we may possibly make them on her stove, which sort of strikes me as pathetic, but thats ok....at least we can EAT them...

6. Spending my afternoons on my deck...armed w/ magazines, SPF 30, and a smoothie...nice...

7. Speaking of smoothies, my recent discovery of blueberry banana...i must be retarted since it had been around for about one BILLION years...

8. The fact that I have lost 5 lbs being healthy and working out....:)))))

9. My hot trainer who my friend and i share for a very nice price actually....his eyes are like the dark ocean and i am farerly certain he thinks we are dingbats....oh well...

10. Summer music....the new CD's....now to think of it i really need to be making a summer playlist...

11. Sleeping in till 11:30 ON A MONDAY.....HALLELUJAH.....

12. A broken chocolate icecream cone....

13. The ability to rationally carry 4 pairs of cheapy sunglasses in my bag for when i need a "change"...go to pairs: Faux Aviators, Red Wayfares, Giant Hipster Black Ones, Rhinestoned Target Ones

14. My room's new beautiful maroony pink shade....3 cheers for redecoration! :D

15. Soccer camp....hours and hours of jumping and diving on the ground onto the fresh cut grass in the sweltering heat....YAY..i am excited though

16. Getting up @ 7 to hike...up a mountain, then dying on the way up, getting attacked by flies at the top, and running all the way down, in the space of 2.5 hours....

17. Buying fireworks...making a fire on the beach w/ damp wood and newspapers so it pretty much didnt light on fire at all....but the fireworks did :)) Under this should also go meeting a kid from Lebanon named Jorgo who hilariously followed you around all 4th of July...haha its true

18. Biking from my friends house to the beach.....and almost getting run over in the process...what a cliche...I did feel very California girl doing though, which I thought was extremely entertaining, I felt like the Beach Boys "California Girls" should be playing in the backround while I road my beach cruiser...

19. Summer concerts...I saw Gwen Stefani...she was amazng I honestly recomend going if you can get you hands on some tickets...

20. The ability to come back to school completely tan and mysterious.....i wish...

Back to the topic of Harry Potter...the Boy Who Live...the Chosen One...is it bad I know all of his names? Anyways....the actors who play Ron, Hermione, and Harry have become some of my favorites...the boys are adorably cute, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint...and Emma Watson has grown into being super pretty and pretty chic...

They all look so happy....and cute....I have to say I'm a Harry fan...I think Daniel Radcliffe is adorable, a little pale but still...

Emma's dress is gorgeous. The color is great with her complection(ugh I sound like some obnoxiously perky sales assosciate at like Perky Land), and she looks gorgeous...grrr... ..the necklace fits it perfectly, luckily she didnt choose something to clunk it up. And Katie Leung, I actually really like her outfit, the tights are quirky but I think it adds her personal chicness.. As for the guys, Daniel's pretty much pulling off the converse w/ suit...which is hard, but it looks hot, and Rupert just looks....hot in a I'm-not-trying-at-all-way, he probably isn't...:)

But now on to just Emma, who I think is gorgeous, I'm sure she's going to have a great career after HP....she seemes so clever too, just like Hermione :)) This photoshoot was from Entertainment I think? It came up on Google

Sorry for no post guys in a while...I was so happy that I got tagged by Shopaholic and Cupcakes for the Weird and Wonderful and then my friend invited me to go to her brother's college orientation w/ her and i was like what the heck its summer i might as well....

So here are the rules and i'm actually REALLY excited for this...is that wrong? hehe....

1. Lets see...I have an INSANE fear of snakes....ewww...even the word makes me shutter....I never was afraid of them before but then one day...BAM i was so freaked by them...i mean they are terrifying. All slithery and slimy and so frickin fast and they hide and blend in and bite you....I dont know why im so scared but... like the movie Snakes on Plane for example? Did someone create that just to scare the shit out of me?! It worked...my worst nightmare...then going crazy and coming for me....

and then my friend sent me this email about Australian sheep farmer and there sheep were disappearing and so he got an electric fence and then there were these pictures of a swear a frickin like 20 foot long snake with a mouth that could devour me and you could totally see the sheeps in its body and i literally screamed when i saw it...meanie friend

ugh i cant even talk about it anymore...maybe im being over dramatic heheh...i dont like that picture AHH!!!! save me...i dont wanna look @ it anymore....

2. I am a complete obsesser of tv couples....more like a day dreamer...or an fanatic i personally like dreamer it sounds a whole lot less stranger...but I think about couples on TV shows way tooo much...but I cant help it, they're so cute and the writers give them the best lines to each other....and i like writing fan fiction that sounds weird but writing about my favorite character and making them do whatever i want is fun....dont judge me *runs off pouting* lol...

Jack and Kate, LOST...they are SO cute together...better then Kate and Sawyer...so much better...

Ryan and Marissa, The OC...ok they were my all time FAVORITE couple before the show started to suck in the 3rd and 4th seasons....seasons 1 and 2 were amazing and I loved them together...she died and that sucked...:(**

Brennan and Booth, Bones... Ok they are honestly adorable even though they arent actually "together" which bugs me keeping the tension and all that....but it is so obvious that they love each other...he is always protecting her which is sooooo sweet..

Meredith and Derick a.k.a. McDreamy, Grey's Anatomy...I LOVE them together...the whole 2nd season with the lingering glances and him wanting her but the couldnt be together the whole thing is just perfect...they CANT break up...

3. I wish that I was one of those people who can like take their old t-shirts and sweatshirts and skirts and jeans and a pair of scissors and cut them into something amazingly chic...everyone and a while i whip out the shears and try and make a old t-shirt into awesomness but it always just looks like a 2 year old did it....thats another fact about me...i have NO cutting skills at all

the only thing I have successfully tailored is an old pair of boot cut Citizens of Humanity jeans which I cut to bermudas's and i have to say they look quite stylish....:)

4. I have a makeup addiction...i LOVE buying it...i cant stop myself....like I see a really sparkly bright purple MAC eyeshadow with some cool name like " Geisha Lover's Midnight Dream" and i have to buy it even if i know in the back of my stupid mind I will never use it...

like these....

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Pencil, $15.00....the only thing is the name doesnt really work because a bright blue metallic pencil is not really going to last you 24/7 if lets say you work at a very conservative office....how brilliant of me for this observation ;)

i have a hard trouble resisting the charms of metallic eyeliners...they draw me in...

My beauty essenstials...that sounded so cheesy...what i mean i use the most is black MAC eyeliner but not in a gothy emo way...Blinc Mascara...Julie Hewett smudge eyeliner..this gorgeous brown MAC eyeshadow i cant remember the name of...Rosebud lip salve and Sephora tinted SPF 15 moisturizer to protect my pretty face...haha yeah right

5. I am an inspiring Monet...for my 14th birthday this year my mom got me and easel...and I LOVE it....mostly i love taking it out and painting and having people walk by and be like "wow what and edgy cool artsy painter" until they take a look @ the canvas that is....but i really do love it...is relaxing and fun even if im not very good @ it....yet ;)

6. My room is the lime....lime colored...meaning green walls...i love it...it soothes me...hehe but really I strongly recommend painting your room a pretty vibrant shade...my other room cause my parents are divorced is being painted maroony pink right now and its gorgeous.....blue is also pretty...paint your room....its fun...

7. This is VERY random so dont be alarmed....i have/had since he went to college and insane crush on one of my karate teachers....i often would loose concentration during class because he is so hot...really hot hair really intensely hot dark green eyes....tall...just really hot...he had a black belt...i loved him and he went to college....give me a moment to sulk...ok im good...really

8. I know we have to have 7...but i CANT FIND MY PHONE....its a problem and its frustrating me...i cant call it because stupidly its off....grr...and as long as we're on the 8th one....i LOVE geeky hot people with glasses like Seth on the OC....he was so hot...but i do love other kind of hot...mostly every kind...:))

Sunglasses....i beleive they have become my new addiction...seriously....They are amazing...I feel as if every single time I put a pair on its like...BANG!!! Cool new personality and style to go along with it....like a transformation...like in that new movie, Transformers which personaly I saw the preview for with my friends in the theater b4 the new Pirates and I was literally in my seat rolling with laughter...my loud obnoxious laughter was blocked out by the loud crashing sounds and cheasy effects of the "Transformers"...."attacking" our world as they turn from cars to crazy physhco monsters...what a cool plot....the only reason I could be bribed to see it is Shia Labeouf my love....he got really hot. I saw Disturbia and I was like "Wow!!! He got so hot since Even Stevens" he is in it so maybe...im not making any promises...i might see it...

Still from Disturbia which if you havent seen it go...and if its not in theaters anymore rent it...its amazing I honestly thought it was so good and i hate scary movies...it was more of a thriller...i promise

The only thing I laughed harder at was the Underdog preview...ahahaha it makes me laugh just thinking about it....its about a dog(duh) who becomes a super hero...whoopee....the tag line is "Crime gets licked" my friend and I thought this was about the funniest thing ever...they're so creative with the taglines these days...

Anyways now that i severely rambled back to my sunglasses...my one true love...they should start a rehab clinic called A.S.A.O.H.A. Thats Addiction to Sunglasses and Other Harmful Accesories i do have to say...I find myself quite witty at times ;).

So I love them because make me feel like I can vibe forty billion different styles with just one change of a sweet accesorie.

These are my 3 favorite pairs....

Red Wayfarers $5.80 @ Forever 21 :))), Same with the sorta aviators, and the black ones are from Target and I have no idea how much they cost.... All I know is that I love them...

Take my Giant-black-always-in-Jackie-O sunglasses...they honestly make me feel like I could be Jackie O...or some other amazingly chic women from the 60's who took day trips to cool little beaches on the Cape and wore pretty little peddal pushers and Lilly Pulitzer everyday and didnt make it look like she was conservative or had a stick up her arse mostly like she was carefree in a way "This is how I do things"

Perfect examples...Mischa Barton and her pal Nicole Richie...we all know who they are i dont even know why I bothered ;)

Then my red Wayfarers which btw I have a serious love affair with...I wore them all day today and all day I felt like the coolest person alive....very very urban hipster...ala Kirsten Dunst...although the red makes them cheery I beleive....then you can also feel like you're are Tom Cruise in Risky Business... even though I am in fact a girl...

Then we have aviators...ok mine aren't exactly military issue real wire rimmed aviators even though I did have an insanly cool pair i bought on Santa Monica Peir for like 2 dollars with cool mirror lenses that my friend maliciously stole....these are more like faux aviators...they have the same shape but I love the color and the way I can see my eyes in them...they remind me of hippies I dont know why...but everyone knows...aviators are always cool...duh

ugh..again I find myself making Tom Cruise reference...the horror....aviators=Top Gun...another classic...but its ok I make sunglasses references to him because it was young hot Tom Cruise not ego maniac crazy scientologist with too young wife Tom Cruise.

He was hot...then, or at least i think so :P

Soooo....what's the verdict

Soooo....my big question....Doutzen Kroes fashion's newest darling, or just another model? Of course she's got, "It" she has the big lips, the huge blue eyes, honey colored hair, perfect cheek bones, and a nice body(she's not too skinny actually I mean she's skinny, but you know not like the Eastern Europeaness we're used to)....but does she really have, ya know...It...

Yes...you wonder what the difference between "It" and It is...allow me to inform you. The second It is reserved for when I really really fell you know...the amaziningness. That feeling when you look at the model and they're just stupendous...they look different then the other models...they have charisma(a side not, my history teacher pronounced it CHA-ris-Ma with like a CHA in the begining, it cracked me up so much, but he was British and said things like bloody hell, and he told me to can it twice, and he also says issue like I-sss-ue instead of I-sh-ue I loved it....ok completed and totally off subject, I'm sorry :)

So the models with It...you wanna be them...you wish you looked like them...you envy the way that they pull off their perfect endrogenous style....lets see I'm sort of in love with Sasha Pivovarova... for me, she just had It.... I love her look, even though so many people say she looks like Gemma Ward, I think she's like Gemma's evil twin who was born on the wrong side of town and would eat a live fish, ok that was a little drastic, but you get the point...she's a hella lot edgier then Miss. Ward...

Anyways mostly I love her because she is so intense and awesome on the runway...and then in Teen Vogue she was interviewed, and she was all smiley, and she is an arist! I love that! A model who has a brain....yay...and they're actually really good her drawings....

The airplane party...she looks pretty...pretty intense ahaha i crack myself up...

Possibly one of my favorite ads ever...except Prada F06 w/ Sasha...I just love this add its so colorful and pretty and she looks really soft and innocent which is so different then how intense she usually is...its called variety people....

I just really like how her shirt matches her eyes...it just mesmerizes me...cool

So Sasha has it for me...I dont know...I just love her....

Then there's Coco Rocha...I actually think I am in love with her in a purely i wish I was her way.....she is so just insanly unique looking....sooo DIFFERENT then everything that's out there...its just coolness to the max....a whole lot cooler in my opinion then miss big lips up there..

Ok this might possible be very cheasy, but her bone structure looks like it was carved with a flippin chisel, seriously...

I'm not really sure if she does it for me...I mean she's a pretty girl...but seriously so many people are...there are ten kazillion models who are a whole lot more interesting and unique then her, and I dont mean to trash her, but I don't feel like she's like deserving all the attention that she's getting...she's like Vogue's flippin poster child now...i swear she's been in US Vogue for like 3 or 4 issues straight, or maybe thats just me....

She just looks like a normal pretty girl I think....

I do though love this photo...she looks like a female zoro in a really chic Spanish way..

But this?? Models are suppossed to be unique...she doesnt look unique, she just look pretty or maybe its just me....

DISCLAIMER: I DONT actually own a pair of these shoes yet, I wish I did and have cried to the heavens above for many hours wishing and hoping that they holiness that is my mom will grant me the happiness of a beautiful pair

Ok so I'm totally in love with sandals. And not run-of-the-mill-only-4-bucks-@-sears sandals, although I have a Havainnas obessession, I mean who doesnt? They're so comfy, and easy and come in seriously a jillion colors, although I am not one to talk since I have one black pair and they just broke, but.......I am planning on getting a new pair, so you can give me credit for that.

Back to the other sandals, I really want a pair of pretty sandals. The kind that look hoppin( I have no idea if that is a relevant word here but whatev) The kind that look hot with skinny jeans, and peeky out under the hems of long hippie summer dresses, and make you look like you are the most stylish person on earth which I am hehe jk I wish.

My friend has been rockin a pair, what is is with me and the weird verbs lol, anyways I am in love with them and found some I love.

The are so chic right now, and fancier then my rubber staples so I think I'm due for an upgrade....

Umbrella....do you love it? Hate it? Totally want to be like why is she making that "ela" song at the end of Umbrella? Tell me about it... SCHOOLS ENDING!!

I wish I looked like them....

We all no what that means....if I was living in a perfect CA movie it would mean parties on the beach, um...getting drunk which I dont plan to do, perfect clothes, cute little shorts with the perfect set of mile long legs to go with them, and eternal tan, a delicious coral colored smoothie, an adorably cute boy to spend my summer with lying lazily on the beach with no need to reaply sunblock, i just turn golden brown automatically instead of having to reaply spf 45 every hour so i do not look like a blonde tomato, and days and days of sleeping in past noon

Now...the reality of school ending, lets review shall we..

NON-EXCITING THINGS ABOUT THE END OF THE YEAR

1.Finals...yippee! Not...that means hours of pouring over the American revolution, and doing a latin project which coincidentally i should be doing right now, but instead am procrastinating on my blog. Then it means sitting in the freezing overly-air conditioned gym while i try to pull random facts out of my head on out to square a quadratic function...hooray

2. Cleaning out my locker...wahoo, usually i find like 40 billion Fiji water bottles that i have forgotten to throw away or drink, and lots of gross papers and my math test from like October the 3rd. Its not very exciting...

3. Graduating 8th grade...my english teacher says all these embarrasing facts that our PARENTS wrote about us in the beginning of the year mine will probably be like "Arabella spent her summer obsessing over superman(dont ask :) and sleeping" and all the parents there will be like SLACKER! not that i care what my fellow classmates parents thinks about me

4. Watching one of my friends jet off to the Carribean and NY for like 2 weeks. Can you say jealousy? I wanna go *pouts angrily*, she will come back and I will still be here...doing nothing

Ok...its been a while since my last post, and one thing that has changed in the eternally sunny land of Southern CA, is umm....hmm...its freaking so hot here!! And I know every one thinks "oh they live in CA it must always be 75 degrees out and sunny, and everyone is a beach bum and smokes pot and is tan and doesnt go to school or work" whoa a little rant there, but its true, we get so stereotyped. "You're from CA" subliminal lines "BEACH BUM!!!" hahah it always cracks me up when I go to New York City, and every one always stares at me because of my strangely colored blonde hair! Everyone there has dark hair i swear to god...**

**side not I am sorry if you live in NYC and have very toe-headed(white blonde) blonde hair, I do not mean to offend, and i am a victim of my own stereotyped, although i have always pondered what i would look like with dark hair since my dad has dark hair and i dont look like him i wonder if i would look like him, ok rambling now sorry back to the post which so far has been a whole lot of rambling

anyways let me get back to my point. For like 3 days now it has been 90 degrees out, I swear to god! It never gets that hot here, like ever. I have been sweltering in my classes, last period English is the worst, I'm like "take me to the beach i am going to die if i discuss the difference between a conjuction and a preposition one more time" so i decided i am in serious need of warm weather clothing...isnt everyone?

I havent even had the chance to go to the beach yet, :(*** I am almost crying, although working out on a hot day is so nice, seriously i feel so like i dont know happy after!!

I want to be there so much right now, can you imagine OMG i can my new radio figi blue and orange striped bikini, a smoothie, and umm...james franco to serve it to me...enough with the day dreaming, i seriously want to know where that is

Check List for Unbearably Hot Days No Matter Where You Live

1. Sunblock...I know it seems too practical, but seriously ,who wants a malignant melanoma not me knock on wood, so go to Rite Aid or Longs I bet you a billion bucks there is one in range of 10 miles of you, it wouldnt be America if there wasnt. Go and get Coppertone, non-fragnant SPF 45 for face, and then for body, you can be fashionable and safe people!

I love the little coppertone girl with her butt line, its so cute and classic haha and i'm pathetic i think :)

2. A pair of AH-mazing sunglasses, aviators are so classic that they never go out, everyone knows that thats what i would stick with, also it is very entertaining to take pictures of yourself with them when you are bored because you can see the camera in the reflection awesome i know, and sadly i didnt take that pic, it is so awesome tho you know?

3. A seriously goregous view(see below picture which i did acutally take from my house ) where you can make yourself a nice lemonade, or whatever drink you please, put on you obnoxious-to-everyone-around-you white ipod earbuds, and fall asleep as you celebrate the horrifically unbearable sun setting around you, ah.... paradise

4. The season DVD's to whatever show you love, my choices: Greys Anatomy, Lost, The OC (seasons 1 and 2 cause they were the only good ones), Bones(check it out, sorta underated on fox @ 8 on Wedsnday, and the FBI agent is HOT), Sex in the City, that you can watch while you lock yourself in your room with the AC blasting, pretending to do homework when really you are too focused on McDreamy to think of anything else

I seriously think that Lost is like a hotness explosion, you have to agree. Ahhh...

5. Waterballoons to have fights with your little brother on the grass since he is so cool, and you must cherish your time with him while he still likes you ahaha funny thing is i have actually done that

6. Extremely cute little summery dresses, because it is way way way too hot to wear anything else seriously, t-shirt dresses are adorable, and it is all about color right now, I need color and I love it, leave your grey and black for fall when all i do is go to school and its 40 degrees out,

J.crew some great stuff, usually their stuff is too preppy for me, but my friend seriously her whole wadrobe is from there which bugs the heck out of me so i can barely stand the place sometimes, but I got such and adorable dress there, its hot pink with white buttons its just really cute

this picture does make me really happy though. I seriously am envious of this model who can pull off yellow and white polka dotted shorts, that=LOVE

THE KILLERS

So hot I sorta can't handle it...
Ok, so now that I'm back on normal schedule, a.k.a, NO spring break, I have finally recovered from my first standing-in-the-pit-for-5-hours-with-the-strong-odor-of-pot-everywhere concert experience! HOORAY!!!

But I saw The Killers!!! Which was so awesome!! I love them, and Brandon Flowers is such a hottie *swoon*. So my friends and I were really close, like 20 feet, which was amazing. It was extremely loud, but in a good way. And it was really hot, in a not good way. Luckily there will a couple of gorgeous guys that we were sort of smushed against so I wasn't really complaining, :).

The first act was extremely weird, I couldnt even hear what their name was, but they were like out of a bad episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, seriously, one of their song's was called "Hell Diver". I was like, what the heck is this, I want the Killers. When the finished, I was like hooray the Killers, but then....there was a 2nd opening act! The Howling Bells, from Australia, who were actually pretty good, but by that point I was a little grouchy at being stuck standing for already like 2 hours and not seeing the band I came to.

It took another 40 mintues after the Howling Bells came on for the Killers to come out, but it was SO worth it. They played so well, and confetti came from the ceiling, and Brandon Flowers is such an amazing performer. <3>

This is such a good picture for a camera phone, I am seriously impressed.

Pretty purple lights, they lighting was awesome btw.

If the Killers come on tour near where you live I highly recommend trying to get tickets, they rock! :D

My mom sent me that quote and I LOVE it. It's so wise and it is so true. Now I jus sound stupid so I'll stop talking.

This is the first time I have ever actually used my computer outside, I have contimplated it, but this is the first time.

I'm glad that even though I'm not away somewhere, I do live in Southern California, so sitting outside underneath the partly cloudy sky, with a 70 degree breeze blowing nicely against my floral scarf, and the pool looking so tantalizing 2 feet away from me, I'm not exactly roughing it. For you that live on the east coast is it snowing there? I sort of wished it snowed here, but I love the sun and the beach and the ocean. Home Sweet Home.

Anyways now that I have told you all about my current predicament, I havent really been doing very much over the break so I was surfing the internet today looking on www.fredflare.com which is basically a mecha for cuteness, so obviously I found some really cute stuff. Here we go, these make me quite happy, almost makes up for not going to the Carribbean. ;)

This is so cute, it sort of makes me hungry. Too bad my birthday already passed. Maybe I'll make a cake with all my free time.

Then I went shopping with my friend yesterday, and I had no will power and bought this adorable Michael by Michael Kors jacket, which is SO cute!! I bought it in white, and it was a little pricey, but totally worth it. Plus I bought it with the birthday $$$ my grandma gave me, so its cool. :)

Back on a less expensive not, you can buy a hammock for like 17 bucks that holds 265 lbs! What a deal, I tried to convince my mom to put one in my room but she sort of refused. :(**

Then right now, I kind of have A.D.D I started looking up sweaters on Nordstrom's sight. I seriously really want this L.A.M.B. Sweater. Gwen Stefani is such a genius with her music and her clothes, omg i forgot to mention that I got tickets to her concert, which I am physhed for!

This is so cute, brown with like creamy polka dots, but by the time I found it I had NO $$$l left at all. But I can still dream. Zzzz...

CHANEL IMAN

Ok, so I decided to do a post on one of my favorite models of the current time. I first saw her when she was in Teen Vogue, for a little article thingy and I thought she was gorgeous, and I LOVE her name. Chanel Iman? Its like the coolest name ever, her first name is one of the most famous fashion designers ever, and her last name is one of the most famous models ever. I wonder if it was a coincidence, or her parents named her that on purpose.

I think she is so pretty, and I really like all of the shows she's been in. Her look is just really soft but still exoctic which is hard to pull of. and she has really big lips(that might sound weird, but that doesnt matter :) ) and a nice smile, and she looks a lot different then all of the uber-skinny eastern european models that are so copious on the runways. My new favorite.

I love love love these glasses, they remind me of Risky Business(Tom Cruise movie in the 8o's)

If You Don't Have Anything Nice to Say...Come Sit by Me, tagged the whole blogosphere to reveal 7 songs they are listening to right now, and since I dont have anything better to do, and I love my music I have decided to do it.

1. "If You Leave"-Nada Surf. Ok I seriously love this song, it is so happy, and the words are so easy to memorize, because the verses are kind of short and sweet. If you like songs with nice little rhythms and words, you will like this. And yes I know I found it on Music from the OC Volume I, but dont tell anyone, its still cool ;)

2."The Mating Game"-BitterSweet. This song reminds me of James Bonds, I dont know why, it just does, like James Bond/ some really cool couple that doesnt know they're in love. Only I will interpret a song like that, but I love the beat to it, its awesome.

3."Samson"-Regina Spektor. I love all of Regina Spektor's stuff, or at least most of it, so this is no exception. Her voice kind of lulls me to sleep in a good way, and I love the beginning.

"You are my sweetest downfall" Such a amazing lyric <33333

4."Lover, You Don't Have to Love"-Bright Eyes. This has such a great steady beat in the backround, and its just really fun to listen to. Plus Bright Eyes has such a melodic/rough/amazing voice so I love the whole thing. If that made any sense at all.

5."Make This Go on Forever"-Snow Patrol. I will admit I heard this first on Greys Anatomy on the ferry accident episodes, but I love it now so much. The lyrics are really great, especially the end. I am not going to lie that I intenstly lip sync with my hair brush to the very last lyrics. Its all cool. The end is the best.

6. "Unlike Me"-Kate Havnevik. I was first drawn to this song when I heard the lyric I love the way you live so intensly, which btw I still think is such an amazing lyric, but now I love the whole thing. Kate Havnevik is is amazing, and her voice is just so great, and this song is intense but in a soothing way if that is possible. :)

7."I'll Follow You Into the Dark"-Death Cab For Cutie. This is my most played song on my Itunes, because it is just amazing. The solo accoustic guitar, with the amazing amazing amazing lyrics, it is such a beautiful song. Its bittersweet though, but I love Death Cab.

A sudden ephipany

Hooray!! Its SPRING BREAK!!! I'm not going anywhere, but I'm still happy that theres no school for 2 week, but onto the fashion.

I don't know if anyone knows the brand Vince, but it is adorable. Very simpilistic chic, simple lines and shapes, in soft colors. Great basics, and adorable sweaters and dresses. Their cashmere is to die for! Anyway, I see it on http://www.shopbop.com/ all the time, but I have never bought anything from the line since it is a bit pricey for my wallet.

So today I was at school, and I was admiring a girl in my classe's clothes, because she always has really cute stuff, and I knew that her dad was a designer, but I never knew really who. So it turns out he is the designer/creator of Vince, which I thought was uber-cool!! I am so extremely jealous of her, since she is always getting free clothes, and giving it to her friends.

Too bad we're not good enough friends for her to give me any free stuff, but who knows *nudge nudge*, maybe we will be. Ok, Im not that shallow and manipulating, or am I.... ;)

Anyway I thought that I would show some of my favorite clothes from the Spring line, which is really cute...

Multicolored Gorgeousness Addiction

Long over due for a post so here it is...

I was checking my e-mail and routinly scrowling through the "Daily Fashion Flashs" I get from www.style.com, and one of the featured looks caught my eye. So of course I had to look through all the featured collection to find out who designed it. Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton of course. Here it is, I thought it was so beautiful. I'm fickle i guess...

This was the first one I saw. The way the maroon transitions into dark red, and then burgundy, and then into pale blue? I didn't know it was possible to do semi-tie dye so well. This dress is just gorgeous, and the cute little hat is a nice finishing touch.

The same thing with this one. The navy into blue and then turquoiuse, and then gold? The puff sleeves? Pure genius!! Its so pretty!

Completely random post but I was anamored.

Britney Spears is newly bald. I for one did not expect that. I feel bad for her, all that pressure that she broke and shaved her head. Why do we live in a world where people are scrutinized to the point of shaving off all their hair?

Movie Collection III: Music and Lyrics

I saw the movie Music and Lyrics this weekend, starring Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. The movie was about a 80's has-been, who is enrolled to write a song in 3 days for a famous singer, Cora Corman. Who btw is hilarious! Drew Barrymore waters his plants, and also has a talent for writing lyrics, and they end up working together.

Throughout the movie I admired Drew's clothing. She looks eclectic and cute. In one scene she wears shorts with tights, and she wears a bunch of really cute dresses. She dresses just like I would imagine a writer/lyricist would dress, in my fantasy world.

I couldnt find the picture, but there is one very adorable brown dress, that she wears with brown boots! Ah, i love it!

This movie was adorable! I definetely recomend it! :D

Like Day and Night

For me Marc Jacob's Fall 2006 collection was so amazing, it would be hard to live up to it. It was definetely one of my favorite collections and it basically launched fall fashion for this year. The new collection is COMPLETELY different from lasts years collection. I mean in everyway. Mute dark colors vs. Bright colors. Big baggy layers vs. sleek lines. Slouchy Beanie hats vs. Colorful widebrimmed sunhats( if thats what you call them).

I'm not sure if I'm as anamored with it as I was last years collection. To me it doesnt seem quite as innovative. And there were a lot of outfits I didnt like. My favorites:

Then we had Luella. Which I loved this season! Omg! The colors were great, and I just loved it. The whole collection has been one of my favorites so far. It was very London hipster chic/polo player +horses/ AMAZNG! All the coats and dresses and tights and cool little boots. I am just overwhelmed. I dont know how to describe it so I'll just so you some pictures :D.

Rag and Bone...I like their name

Its one of the 1st of the Fall Ready-to-where collections, and I happen to like it quite a lot. Still a lot of menswear influence in this collection. I happen to really like menswear, I think it is chic and cute, but still sophisticated. It makes mature when I wear it hehe. Heres some of my favorites.

This is my favorite outfit of the whole collection. I love the grey tunic thing with the skinny pants and skinny black scarf!!!Its so chic!

Ok, I love this olive green cardigan belted with grey skinny pants. And the white turtle blouse underneath just makes the outfit that much perfecter. Perfecter? Is that even a word?

The grey loosly pleated skirt and jacket with knee high leather boots. Like working women/matrix! I love it!

Usually it looks bad pairing bermudas with high boots but I like it here, and the military-esk jacket and cute little hat are to die for.

Movie Collections II: Memiors of a Geisha

Ok, obviously I'm not going to start walking down the streets of Southern CA in a silk kimono, but that doesn't stop me from drooling over the beautiful ones that are worn in Memiors of a Geisha. This moving shows the epitome of glamour in 1930s-40's Japan. Even though Japanese geishas were basically upscale escorts to men, it didnt stop them from being one of the most iconic emblems of glamour. From the white face, to the painted red lips, to the elaborate kimonos the whole thing screams chic.

OMG! And how could I forget the six inch wooden platform sandals, which btw are extremely insane.

Ziyi Zhang's protrayal of the young geisha Sayuri Nitta was great, and very convincing. Along with Li Gong's protrayal of the maliciously greedy and conspiraring Hatsumomo. I reccomend this movie, you should watch it. :D I love this shot. Since the light is all dark/reddish she looks lumininesent, and amazing. Enough said.

One of the only times in the movie you see Sayuri without her geisha makeup on, and I think she is so pretty.Her kimono is so pretty. I love the orange flower print contrasting with the pale baby blue of the rest of the kimono.
She looks so scary but beautiful. This isnt even a kimono, actually its a robe. It is so pretty though, know one i knows looks that glamourous in a robe.
The black kimono against her white skin is such an amazing contrast. She looks really intense in a good way.

Check out the shoes, I especially like the kimono on the right. The way the dark purple fades down into a cherry blossom tree is so pretty.

The Movie Collections:The Notebook

I've decided that I want to do a collection of posts about my favorite styles in movies. Movie stars are so lucky, they get the best selection of clothes, jewlery, accesories, and makeup from designers. Everymovie is different, the time period, story line, character. All those are variables on what the style is going to look like. So enjoy!

My first is The Notebook. I absolutely love this movie! It is one of my all time favorites. Not only are the clothes amazing, but the movie is so so so good! I cry every single time, because its just so good. Ryan Gosling and Racheal McAdams are great actors, and omg I just love it. Anyway on to the clothes. What can I say, the 1940's were such a glamorous time. When women drove around in giant cars with perfectly waved hair, red lipstick, and cute little dresses. The Notebook is a perfect show of that, so here are some of my favorite stills from the movie. Ok, bathing suits in the 40's were so glamorous. Just look at this one, I love the top with the red criss cross pattern, and the bathing cap? So cute!

OMG! This dress is so adorable. The length makes it kind of dangorous while the cut and print make it sweet. I love the side buttons and the adorable crandberry color.

This isnt the best fashion shot of the movie, but I do remember the dress. Its the part when she rides her bike to come and see him, its lavender as you can probably see. The white sleeves are so cute. As are Racheal McAdams and Ryan Gosling together, thats mostly why I posted this pic. Hehe I am such a sucker for romance.

This is one of the best scenes when they dance in the street. The printed dress under the cardigan with the same print lining is gorgeous. I love when they lie in the street.

My favorite outfit in the whole movie. She looks so glamourous and sophisticated and chic. The color is beautiful and the hat is perfect. AND SHES WEARING GLOVES!!! I just cant stand it!

Flower Child Fashion

My obsession is out of control

It really is. Necklaces. I think I probably have 50. Ranging from a plastic beads from when I was 3, to my mom's fake pearls, to a buddha which I discovered at a bead fair last year. I love them. Necklaces can jazz up any outfit, thats for sure. They are my savior on days when I dont feel creative, or woke up 20 minutes after my alarm. They bring excitment to t-shirts, add a finishing touch to dresses, and just generally make me happy. The variation is crazy, there are billions of necklaces to choice from. Spring 2007 Prada Ads

Again I find myself obsessed with Prada ads. They seem always to be beautiful. I was totally obsessed with the Fall 2006 ones too. Not only are they amazingly shot, but the art direction is great, and the colors always look perfect as does the contrasting in the photo. I also applaud Sasha Pivovarova. She can do so many looks and, she doesnt fail to look great in this new ad. Its totally different from the dark smoldering angle of the fall. She looks fresh and clean, and perfect actually. I love the colors of the shoes(not shown) and how she seems to be lying in them, same with the purses. The bright colors of the shot are great.

OMG! I'm going to the...

ROSE BOWL!!!! I am so freakin excited! This Sunday precisely 5 days from now I am going to the Rose Bowl Flea Market. For those of you who don't know it, or live on the East Coast, or somewhere far away like Russia since its pretty famous, the Rose Bowl Flea Market is located in Pasadena, CA. It has over 2,200 vendors selling vintage clothes, jewlery, furniture, and art. 20,o00 people go every time it happens, which is every second Sunday of the month. I've never been to it so I am so phyched for this weekend. It is also a 3 day weekend which I am elated for! Arent you?! I cant wait to pick up tons of cheap vintage clothes and shoes and jewlery, its almost better then Christmas and my birthday combined, :)!!

Catherine Malandrino Spring Collection is to die for!! I really am in love, all of the peices were so beautiful, it was hard for me to choose just a few. Most of this collection is evening wear, something that apparently Catherine Malandrino is very talented at. The collection ranges from satiny one strap dresses, mini shirtdress coats with poofy sleaves, to brightly colored structured mini dresses, and button down dresses. Everything is so elegant and chic, the collection is simple, very French, but it has so many beautiful details that makes each garment unique and amazing. Here are some of my favorite peices.

I am in love with Marc Jacobs Spring 2007 Collection. The collection was shown on a grass green runway, with Sound of Music-esk music playing, and hills as the backround. The clothes are light and airy, and flow so perfectly. The collection is very natury and springy, the materials range from linen to muslim, and Marc Jacobs in an interview said he "tried to make the light fabrics look bulkier, and the heavy fabrics flow." The collection is amazing, I didn't think I could like anything more then the Fall 2006 collection, but I guess I can. I'm pretty fickle, here are my favorite looks.

Hmm... You are probably wondering what in the heck is Mooka Kinney. If you don't know yet its time to find out. Mooka Kinney is a line started by up and coming designers Rachel Antonoff and Alison Lewis(ages 24 and 23). They met when Alison rented a room in Racheal's west village apartment. They bonded over their love for vintage treasure hunting, pretty prints, and whimsical dresses.

The dresses are completely and totally ADORABLE!!! I haven't seen such cute dresses, I don't think any where, or at least not for a while. The dresses are empire waisted, and smock dresses, in prints of swans, flowers, and other equally amazing designs. The details are so cute also, with buttons in the shape of strawberries, swans, and deer. I love all of there dresses, this is a designing pair you want to look out for!

The best kinds are nice and loose, so you can possibly pile you hair into them, and knitted because thats the warmest. Kirsten Dunst is always wearing these, so she is part of my inspiration, but overall I just think they are so cute. I think that they kind of ad comfort, and a special little touch to all outfits. Let your hair flow into messy waves under the hat, or tuck your hair into them. Make sure you don't buy tight skater beanies though, those just look like you are posing. Skinny Jeans

This fall the entire skinny legged, stove-pipe silowhete is very sophisticated and chic. I happen to love this trend. Sure I still rely on my old bootcut jeans but it is refreshing to finally have a new style of jeans. A style that actually shows off women's bodies', and basically look great with everything. For those of you who don't think you can pull off skinny jeans? You can!

Esentially there are 3 types of skinny jeans: Extra Long, Regular, and Ankle Legth. Extra long is better for a more sophisticated look, and works better at night wit heels. Regular legth skinny jeans work with everything, sneakers, heels, and flats. Personally I like a cute pair of flats with them. Ankle Legth is perfect for showing off toned ankles and a cute pair of shoes.

The trick to skinny jeans is to just buy a pair that fits you. Black or darker shades make you look thinner, and lighter doesn't, just like with regular jeans. I still am in love with grey jeans!!! Here are a few of my favorite styles.

Cartier LOVE Bracelets

I have been flipping through magazines and seen a lot of ads for the Cartier LOVE bracelet. Even though it is totally outragesly priced, or at least for me, I think the whole idea is cool. Apparently in the 70's Cartier found its inspiration for these bracelets in New York City. The concept is that the bracelet has a little key, that is supposed to be locked on by a loved one, symbolizing and everlasting bond. The entire thing is so romantic! I love that, like something from the era where people wrote songs for each other, and recited poetry. For any of you that can afford this amazing bracelet, I am envious! :)

Layering is huge this fall. How do I know? Only becuause it is in every fall collection, fashion magazine, and store I walk into. I think that layering is perfect for fall, since it goes well with the cooler weather. For those of you who are worried about pulling off the look, its not too hard, the trick is not to go overboard. Choose light-weight peices so that you don't get too hot, and you can pile on more.

Its official, the 80's are back. The leggings, the slouchy off the shoulder sweaters, the bright colored pumps, plastic jewlery, and best of all, drum roll please: Leg warmers. Somebody is such a genius for basically inventing a sweater for our legs. Besides being pracitcal, they are so cute. Perfect for this seasons layering look, throw some over bare legs, or over leggings, I promise they will look really cute. Its basically a retrospective to the days of Flashdance. Jennifer Beals was so cool as a welder by day, exotic dancer by night, and inspiring ballet dancer. I think it was the legwarmers.Just try not to buy them in neon colors like in the actual 80's. That is a big no. Here are a few of my favorite styles for this fall.

Kirsten Dunst as Marie Antoinette

The new September Fall Fashion issue of Vogue features Kirsten Dunst on the cover and in a photo spread potraying the young qeen Marie Antoinette. The spread was photographed by Annie Leibovitz, and I love it. I think that the dresses that Kirsten wears as Maria Antoinette are beautiful. The photos are well shot, and very realistic for the time period. I hope that the movie will be great and that she will hopefully play the role well. Here are a few of my favorite shots. Even though some people think that Kirsten Dunst might not do Marie Antoinette justice, I think she was cast perfectly, she looks great, and hopefully the movie will be just as good!

Fall/Winter 2006 Prada Adds

One of my favorite Fall/Winter 2006 ad campaigns is Prada. These ads have Shasha Pivovarova modeling the fall collection. She is really beautiful so that adds to the sophistication of these pages. I love the contrast of the dark clothing around the bright, lit backround. Sasha looks great too, the hair and eyes are both messy, but her lips are a dark blood red. These are a few of my favorite shots from the campaign.

Prada's ads are always great, but I think these are beautiful! Hope everyone else does too!

Kate Moss Returns

Has anyone noticed how much Kate Moss has rebounded since the drug/cocaine scandal of September 2005. Lately she is become uber girl super model again. Every issue of Vogue, British Vogue, Vanity Fair? The all seem to have her on the cover. This year alone, Kate Moss has already made 11 million dollars in income. In a recent issue of British Vogue, Moss was in 8 ad campaigns, including Chanel, Versace, Louis Vouttin, Longchamp, and Burberry among others. I have also seen her in a David Yurman ad recently. Its crazy how the fashion world reaccepts people. Kate Moss is beautiful, she is a great model, and she did or still does cocaine. I'm not saying all models do it, but it does keep you thin. The fashion world just forgot about that, remembering how great Moss looks on camera and in their ads. We live in a world where beauty rules, but didn't it always?

French Sole

French Sole is an adorable little shoe store in New York. They make only flats, with the occasional heel, their shoes fit perfectly, come in tons of bright, pastel, dark, and rich colors, and don't cost too much. The shop is in New York on Lexington and 77th street, I'm pretty sure, but don't be mad if I'm wrong. I love their shoes, and they are perfect because flats are right now the chicest thing. Here are a few of my favorite picks of the flats they carry.

Plaid

Another trend for fall is plaid. First reaction is to think of little Scottish men doing a jig in a kilt, but in reality plaid is cute sweet, a partly school girl. A lot of the designers are using it in their collections, here are a few of my favorite peices. The trick to plaid is not to overload it, otherwise you will look Scottish and not cute. Just choose one peice thats plaid like pants, a shirt, skirt, shoes, a bag, or hat.

Grunge for Fall 2006

Has anyone noticed how in grunge is this fall? I have. I love all the oversized sweaters, baggy wide legged trousers, leggings, giant fluffy hats, long loose sses, and big scarves. Dressing like you just got out of bed has never been chicer. So guys, pile it on. This season there's never too much. Put a dress over leggings, over a tank top, with a sweater and scarf over that. Its a fun look to put together. Marc Jacobs' Fall collection is beautiful, and totaly grungy and I love it. The fluffy, big hats are my favorite part. His peices are amazing. Here are a few of my favorite.l
